Mothers Day Poem

They say maternal instincts are strong,
Thus I can’t deny when something’s wrong.
She knows every part of me,
Even the deepest secrets of my anatomy.

Her unica might sometimes be stubborn,
A gal with a hidden tail and horn
But this woman loves me since I was born,
Even if I treat her sage words with scorn.

I never craved for affection,
Nor yearned for protection.
Since her partnership with dad is incredible,
My needs- they are fulfilled and all.

I offer my deepest apology,
For the times I question her policy.
I sometimes follow my own will,
Hence, she got no chill.

Not everyone might stay with me,
They will all leave eventually.
But I will always have her,
My partner in crime slash mother.

I am not really romantic,
But this day is matricentric,
So I am obliged to say,
 “ I love you Mom,

Happy Mother’s Day”

Here are some outtakes from our recent family hangout at LaMesa Ecopark yesterday! Future blogpost is in reserve about that.
